Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing frameworks and structures according to project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of building materials, blueprints, and schematics, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site. The Framer will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements
- Construct and install wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, roofs, and floors
- Perform masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and concrete forming
- Install drywall, siding, and plaster as part of the finishing process
- Erect metal buildings according to specifications
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics
- Experience in masonry, roofing, concrete forming, drywall installation, siding, and plastering
- Ability to build frameworks using various materials effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
