Foundations Crew Member

You'll be part of the crew that gets every project started: clearing and preparing sites, digging and forming footings, building foundations, and installing septic systems. This is hands-on outdoor work in the western North Carolina terrain, often on sloped or rocky lots. Job sites are within a 1-hour drive of Swannanoa. Experienced excavator and skid steer operators will have the chance to spend a large share of their time running equipment.

Responsibilities

• Site preparation, clearing, grading, and backfill
• Excavating and forming footings, piers, and linear footers
• Assisting with concrete slab and foundation pours
• Applying foundation waterproofing and installing drainage
• Installing septic systems — tanks, distribution boxes, and drain lines — to permit and inspection requirements
• Trenching for water lines and utilities
• Operating excavators, skid steers, and other equipment as qualified
• Loading, hauling, and securing equipment and materials between job sites
• Performing daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Keeping job sites clean, organized, and safe
• Following all OSHA safety practices, especially around trenches and excavations

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
