Join our dynamic team as a Service and Repair Technician specializing in Commercial Roofing! In this energetic role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining, repairing, and restoring commercial roofing systems to ensure safety, durability, and performance. Your expertise will help extend the lifespan of roofing assets, improve building integrity, and support our clients’ ongoing success. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized roofing equipment.
- Trouble shooting and problem solving
- Identify issues such as leaks, damage, or deterioration and develop effective repair solutions aligned with industry standards.
- Execute roof patching, sealing, caulking, and flashing repairs to prevent water intrusion and enhance roof longevity.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assess project requirements and execute repairs accordingly.
- Assist with roof installation projects including membrane systems, metal roofing, and other commercial roofing materials.
- Conduct restoration work on existing roofs by replacing damaged sections or applying protective coatings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on construction sites involving heavy lifting, scaffolding, or working at heights.
- Be able to perform basic sheet metal work on gutters, downspouts, coping, drip edge, and gravel stop.
- Comfortable with learning new technology and company apps
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with multiple types of commercial roofing systems
- Clean Driving record
- Experience with metal roofing
- Steep Roofing experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment.
- Ability blueprint reading and schematics for roofing projects.
- Familiarity with various construction trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (stucco), plumbing, welding, tile laying, framing (metal stud framing), concrete forming, restoration techniques, and handyman skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights using appropriate safety gear.
- Experience with metal roofing systems, waterproofing techniques like caulking and flashing repairs.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations relevant to commercial roofing projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
