Job Title: Restoration Project Supervisor

 

We are seeking a seasoned Restoration Project Supervisor to help manage and optimize the daily operations of our production team within our rapidly growing restoration division. This role will focus on leading and coordinating projects that involve restoration work, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters, and insurance-driven restoration efforts.

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional capable of undertaking a variety of operational roles and tasks with autonomy, while adhering to strict deadlines. This person should have strong attention to detail and the ability to take direction from their direct supervisor. Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all restoration project schedules, budgets, and timelines, particularly those involving insurance claims and disaster recovery work.
  • Collaborate with external and internal contractors, adjusters, and suppliers to facilitate all phases of restoration, including mitigation, remediation, and rebuild.
  • Develop and maintain budgets specific to restoration projects and ensure quality control across all phases of restoration.
  • Implement procedures in accordance with required policies, insurance standards, and local building codes to increase project efficiency and maintain the integrity of all restoration activities.
  • Analyze customer and insurance company requirements to develop cost-effective solutions for all restoration activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports for restoration processes and provide support to the restoration project manager.
  • Oversee the daily activities of contractors and ensure safety across all job sites, including adherence to OSHA standards.
  • Evaluate daily manpower requirements and coordinate with restoration crews to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Perform risk assessments on all restoration projects to identify and resolve potential issues, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Supervise restoration projects, manage change orders, and administer insurance claim resolution processes.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters and internal teams to expedite claim settlements, including participating in claim resolution meetings.
  • Evaluate work plans for restoration projects and ensure completion with assistance from supervisors.
  • Develop and implement project control tools, prepare cost reports, and provide training to restoration teams on various procedures.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in restoration, construction, or related fields, with a focus on disaster recovery and insurance-driven projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong understanding of residential restoration processes, including insurance protocols, mitigation, and rebuilding.
  • Familiarity with reading architectural plans and developing cost estimates based on restoration needs.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and hazard recognition in restoration environments.
  • Working knowledge and experience with project management systems such as Buildertrend and Xactimate (preferred for insurance-related estimation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications (Google Drive, Docs, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Analytical ability and aptitude in problem-solving within restoration contexts.
  • Valid NC driver’s license is required due to the significant amount of travel between job sites.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to grow with a rapidly expanding company.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though flexibility may be required due to the nature of restoration work.
