Lead Carpenter / Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Supervisor to oversee construction projects and lead skilled tradespeople on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of construction, remodeling, restoration, and repair work are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a leader in our team, you will coordinate daily operations, manage resources, and uphold quality control across diverse projects. Your expertise in carpentry, construction estimating, and site management will drive project success from start to finish.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring timely and quality completion of projects
- Lead skilled tradespeople in tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, siding, roofing, drywall installation, and fixture mounting
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution
- Manage the use of hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards across all projects
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to plan workflows and resolve on-site issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in framing carpentry, trim carpentry, and remodeling.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various construction disciplines
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment such as scaffolding.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
