ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide excellent customer service while managing the cabinetry installation and quality control process.
- Meet and greet clients, project managers, and other stakeholders relative to the project in a positive, approachable manner.
- Read blueprints and drawings.
- Perform all cabinet installations (cabinets, fillers, trim, hoods, crown, hardware, etc.).
- Perform adjustments to cabinets, trim, hooding, etc. in the field as needed to tailor them to meet the project specifications.
- Clean up the sawdust, discarded wood and product packaging. Vacuum and dust the work area, and remove all tools before leaving each day.
2. The Cabinet Installer is the “lead” installer on the job, providing guidance and assistance to an Assistant / Apprentice.
- Train and role model ethical and company standards for cleanliness, proactive communication to resolve problems/ anticipated problems, and safety.
3. Maintain safety standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
- Climbing. Ascending or descending ladders of various heights while carrying tools.
- Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
- Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
- Pushing. Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. Distances and times are unquantifiable due to the unpredictable environments.
- Pulling. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Must have the ability to drag/pull a charged/uncharged hose as needed.
Driving Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to drive to other properties and locations
Travel:
· Frequently travels from one project location to another.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of cabinet installation and trim work in high-end, custom cabinetry market.
- GED or High School Diploma
- Current driver’s license.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Experience building cabinets.
- 10 years of cabinet installation and trim work in high-end, custom cabinetry market.
- Experience leading, directing, teaching or coaching others (ie. Apprentice, helpers)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Language skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; blueprints. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including clients and Kitchens of the South employees.
- Mathematical and Measurement Skills: Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Able to precisely perform mathematical skills and measurements necessary for finished carpentry.
