Job Description:
As a Sales Consultant, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting clients in finding the perfect products to enhance their indoor and outdoor living spaces. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service while driving sales and ensuring satisfaction to our Architect, Builder, Designer, and Homeowner clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate Relationships: Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products thatmeet their needs. Provide product information, answer questions, and offer recommendations based on customers' preferences and budgets. Client interactions will be both in-person and digital, both at our Showroom and in the field.
- Design Solutions: Actively engage clients to understand their requirements and guide them through the sales process. Utilize your knowledge of our product offerings to select the right product solutions and accessories. Use in-person conversation and digital tools to assist the customer by offering responsive and efficient communication.
- Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our product offerings, including fireplaces, patio furniture, grills, and accessories. Stay updated on product features, benefits, and specifications to effectively communicate with customers. Present the solutions that will delight our customers.
- Merchandising: Maintain a clean and organized store environment. Assist with restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring that products are properly labeled and priced.
- Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment securely and efficiently.
- Customer Support: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and courteously. Resolve issues promptly and escalate complex issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide support as needed. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the success of the team.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or building sales experience preferred, ideally in a similar environment.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building lasting client relationships and collaborating effectively with the team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and multitask as needed.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and calculating discounts.
- Knowledge of the Construction and Building process is a huge benefit.
- Knowledge of hearth and patio products, outdoor living trends, and the home improvement industry is a plus.
