BABRM Events Internship

Looking for an internship that goes beyond filing papers and sitting behind a desk?

The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (BABRM) is now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Events Internship, offering students and emerging professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping deliver some of Western North Carolina’s largest industry events.

This internship is designed for students interested in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, nonprofit work, and community engagement. Interns will work alongside the BABRM team and contribute directly to events that bring together builders, designers, remodelers, suppliers, local leaders, and community members across the region.

What Will You Work On?

As an Events Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to support programs including:

  • WNC Parade of Homes
  • Sporting Clays Tournament
  • Golf Tournament
  • After Hours networking events
  • Membership and community engagement programs
  • Additional summer events and initiatives across the association

You won’t just observe. You’ll help coordinate logistics, support sponsors and vendors, assist with attendee experiences, contribute to marketing efforts, and be part of what happens behind the scenes before, during, and after events.

Internship Details

  • Approximately 10–15 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Some evening and weekend event support required
  • Paid opportunity at $16/hour (or eligible for school credit, if approved)
