Classes are:
2025 Mandatory – 2 hours
Required for 2026 renewal.
This 2-hour course is Required for NC Contractors. You need 8 total hours!
Spray Foam Insulation -2 hours
Spray foam insulation is the fastest-growing and most controversial segment of the
building sciences.
As the demand for energy efficiency in building performance increases, the past methods have started to fall short. Spray foam can do a great job at both insulating and providing other features, all in the same product. It’s not the best choice for every application, though, and its alternatives are improving. It has downsides worth considering and risks that need to be managed.
Energy Efficiency Mechanics – 2 hours
Meets new code!
This course will explore critical components of modern building performance, such as Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) and blower door testing. Designed for contractors, builders, and energy efficiency professionals, this course will cover the fundamentals, best practices, and code requirements related to ERVs and airtightness testing.
Surge Protection - Concepts and Designs - 2 hours
Surge Protection is now required by NC Building code. This course gets you amped up on what a surge is and how surge protection works!
Have you ever wondered why that LED light bulb didn’t last as long as it should have? Or why your Smart TV flickers and you have to reboot?
Surges are known as the silent demon of degradation. These electrical pluses slowly destroy the high tech home.
The average home has over $10,000 worth of electronics that can be damaged by surges. Don't let your clients get left in the dark!
