Construction Career Day 2023
Description
CCDW along with many sponsors, will host the WNC Construction Career Day Works Event on March 28 & 29 2023; at the Smoky Mountain Event Center (Haywood County Fairgrounds) in Waynesville.
This is an opportunity for WNC students to learn more about the construction industry, the many careers that are in demand, talk with company representatives and participate in hands-on activities.

- Showcase of construction equipment
- Bucket truck and other equipment simulators
- Brick laying
- Prize giveaways

- Measuring tape roll
- Breakfast and Lunch

- >50 industry representative activities
Students will arrive at the Arena in the morning. An Industry representative will meet the bus and guide the group to their assigned area. Students will rotate through demonstration and hands-on areas including operating heavy equipment.
