Description
BeLoved Asheville is building deeply affordable, sustainable, and equitable homes rooted in community. 2018 saw a 50% increase in the chronic homeless population in Buncombe County. Asheville's rents have been ranked highest in NC and evictions are up as community members struggle to make ends meet.
The AHBA's Workforce Development and Social Committees are excited to partner with BeLoved to finish up their first micro home! We will be finishing a deck, painting, caulking, laying floor, framing a porch roof, and more. Join us for lunch at noon in between volunteer shifts. We are excited to get this house finished as it is on this year's Parade of Homes!
Be sure to bring a face covering and water!
