DESCRIPTION:Widely respected NC State economist Dr. Michael Walden will join us this week to discuss the economic impact of COVID-19 and his projections for a recovery. Dr. Walden is frequently seen\, heard\, and read in the media. He has been interviewed on local TV and radio news broadcasts\, and has appeared on national television. He is frequently quoted in newspapers\, including USA Today\, The News and Observer\, The Charlotte Observer\, The Boston Globe\, The Wall Street Journal\, and The Washington Post.\n\n \n\nDuring the Town Hall\, we will also hear a message from 2020 NCHBA President Mark Martin about job-site safety. Additionally\, Assistant Executive Vice President Tim Minton will update us about the latest information on what is happening at the state and federal level. Executive Vice President Mike Carpenter will not be able to join our call. He will be participating in a conference call\, occurring at the same time\, with the General Statutes Commission about a legislative matter regarding our successful land-use bill enacted last year.
