This presentation will update builders on what's new in green building for the Asheville area. New products and new practices to make homes more efficient and improve indoor air quality will also be discussed.
Attendees will learn:
1) Ways to increase their rebate from Duke Energy Progress, allowing them to use the rebate program to build better homes.
2) Tax credit update: Which tax credits have been updated, and the relevant sunset dates for them.
3) New market trends and products that we are seeing that can help homes reach greater levels of efficiency, and feedback on implementing them effectively.
4) Updated state of the art on indoor air quality and especially particulate filtering. Particulate matter in homes is growing as a health concern, and new practices for achieving good filtration of indoor air will be described.
Presented by Jessica Arrowood of VandeMusser Design PLLC. VandeMusser Design provides technical consulting and certification services for green residential construction for builders, architects, developers and homeowners.
